Life's like a multiple choice question, sometimes the choices confuse you, not the question itself

Relate and Be Relevant

Tonight, I found a very important lesson when hosting an event particularly in English.

Knowing the audience far in advance, plan and prepare to suit their needs has been a compusory as well as make what you do directly relevant to each audience.

Whether it is:
– Language you use
– People you mention
– Jokes you tell or
– Stories you share

They all need to be directly and specifically relevant to, personalised for each and everyone of them based on their background and interest.

Being able to predict people’s emotional reactions is all part of emotional intelligence to engage the audience.

Luckily, I worked together with this beautiful news-anchor lady who was a research-oriented person when identifying the audience.

What a great event to remember.
